I'm looking for people who like to get outside and get muddy :)
Next week a new project starts to improve the conditions in IDP settlements.
Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN) is celebrating Earth Day 22 April with a volunteer event to build a children’s play garden at the new IDP settlement in Tserovani with support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
The project in Tserovani will start at 10.00am and transport from Tbilisi can be provided for those who need it. At the end of the day a party will be held in the Alibi Bar, Tbilisi to raise funds to continue the project across a wider area.
If people are unable to come and work in the garden they can still contribute by donating plants, tools and play equipment, or by coming to party in the evening.
Over the next few months other volunteer days will help the community at Tserovani to plant fruit gardens and a windbreak, deliver trainings, set up a community composting scheme and work with young people on green issues.
